Prospect Elementary is named after the very first school in Blount County that was a one-room cabin built in 1784. That original school was built on the farm of Robert McTeer, a Revolutionary War Veteran. The current school opened in 2011 and is the newest Blount County School.
Prospect serves around 375 students in kindergarten through fifth grades. The principal is Dr. Heather Byrd and assistant-principal is Amber Williams. The school day is from 7:30-2:45 p.m.
If you have any questions, feel free to call the school at (865) 980-1565. We look forward to hearing from you. Go Tiger Cubs!
